Our team, including the Site Manager and project technicians, works on-site every day. The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance, ordering spare parts and equipment, and communicating with landowners, local electric utilities, and state and local government officials. They also ensure that the solar project is operating properly and meeting expectations.
In addition to the on-site team, we use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment to electronically monitor the project's performance and condition. The SCADA system keeps an eye on the status and output of the solar panels, as well as the electrical deliveries to the utility grid. If there are any issues, the system can diagnose the problem.
We perform regular preventive maintenance, which may include visual inspection or testing of the electricity inverter, solar panels, mounting system, and electrical connections. Depending on factors like dust and rainfall, we may also wash the panels periodically.
To ensure quality, we obtain warranties on solar panels and other parts and supplies, including repaired and replacement parts, for periods agreed upon with the manufacturer or supplier. We also obtain insurance policies to cover the risk of liability to third parties and property damage.
